MICROSOFT - KIN STUDIO
Microsoft married cloud technology with a mobile device and social networking in 2009 through a project called Kin Studio. A scrappy team of six designers worked on a desktop interface that was an extension of the Kin mobile device. This environment displayed the users contacts, messages, and media around the primary functionality of linear time scrubbing. Our work was granted a US Patent for it's Timeline Controlling functionality and emerged as one of the pioneers in cloud technology pairing a mobile device to a user-friendly desktop experience.
